Debbie Chin is currently Head of Global Markets and Custody and Investment Operations at United Overseas Bank. 

Ms. Chin has been with UOB since 2012, with responsibility for a team providing operational support to the Group’s Global Markets and Custody and Investment businesses, including foreign exchange and money markets. Her role involves oversight and ownership of Global Markets and Custody Investment Operations in the subsidiaries and branches.

Prior to joining UOB, Ms. Chin served at Merrill Lynch International Bank in Singapore for 18 years, including in Global Wealth Management as Head of APAC Global Wealth Management Operations & Client Services (2006-2012), Head of APAC and EMEA Client Services (2004-2006), Head of APAC Supervision and Control (2001-2004), and Asia Regional Operations Manager for Local Branch Offices (2000-2001), as well as in Global Markets and Investment Banking as Head of Operations (1995-2000), and Head of Global FX and FI Operations (1994-1995).

Other roles in Ms. Chin’s career included Head of Treasury Operations at ABN AMRO Bank NV in Singapore (1987-1994) and Executive Officer, Purchasing and Administration at the National Productivity Board in Singapore (1984-1987).

Ms. Chin holds a Bachelor of Arts from National University of Singapore.
