Duncan Barnard
Duncan Barnard joined CLS in August 2018 as Chief Internal Auditor, based in New York.
Duncan is responsible for leading CLS’s audit activity globally, ensuring CLS meets the highest levels of operational standards expected of a trusted market infrastructure. He reports to the Audit and Finance Committee of the CLS Board.
Duncan brings a wealth of experience to this role across audit, risk management and analytics. Prior to CLS, Duncan worked with leading global professional services firms, most recently Accenture, where he served as Managing Director in the Finance and Risk Practice covering the US Northeast region. Prior to that, Duncan was Managing Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC’s) Risk and Compliance Analytics Practice, of which he was a founding member, and also served as Managing Director in PwC’s US Northeast Risk Assurance Practice. He has also held a number of roles as Partner at Ernst & Young, specializing in technology and security risk services as well as global information management and analytics.
Duncan is a British Chartered Accountant (CA / ICAS), a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and holds an Honours Degree in Engineering (B.Eng) from Exeter University in the UK.
