Helen joined CLS in May 2024 as the Chief Controls Officer, based in London.

With over 30 years of experience in non-financial risk and control, Helen will lead on the continued strengthening of our three lines of defense risk management framework and control oversight and guide the implementation of CLS’s first line of defense (1LoD) risk and control activities.

Helen joined CLS from Citi, where she spent 25 years in various roles across the Global Markets business including Chief Operating Office / Chief Administrative Office functions in both ‘run the bank and ‘change the bank’ capacities, and most recently as Managing Director leading front office global control initiatives.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Bath University and is a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ICAEW), having started her career at Arthur Andersen before spending two years in Finance at NatWest Markets.
