Carlos León is the Director of Central Banks and Financial Market Infrastructures Solutions at FNA. He is also co-editor of the Latin American Journal of Central Banking, associate editor of the Journal of Financial Market Infrastructures and is a guest researcher at Tilburg School of Economics and Management. Additionally, he is an independent board member of the Colombian Central Counterparty.

Carlos received his PhD in Finance from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and also holds an MSc in Banking and Finance from HEC-Université de Lausanne (Switzerland), an MA in International Economics and a BA in Finance and International Relations from Externado de Colombia University (Colombia). Prior to FNA, his experience includes positions as a senior researcher at the Central Bank of Colombia's Financial Market Infrastructure Oversight Department and as a short-term expert at the International Monetary Fund.
