Samantha Cook is the Chief Scientist at FNA. Joining in 2012, her role involves enabling FNA’s clients (which include some of the world’s largest central banks, financial market infrastructures and leading financial institutions) in mapping and monitoring complex financial networks and simulating operational and financial risks.

She earned a PhD in Statistics from Harvard University in 2004. Prior to FNA, she worked in the Research Group at Google and taught statistics at several universities, including Columbia University in New York and Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. Beyond network theory and finance, her research interests include Bayesian modeling and statistical computation, and she has published papers in statistics, economics, finance, psychology and public health.
