Brexit update
Further to our prior Brexit-related member notice earlier this year (31 January 2020, issue number 03.20), and in light of current developments, please find below an update regarding our preparations for Brexit.
Following the ratification of the “Agreement on the withdrawal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland from the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community” (the “Withdrawal Agreement”) by both the United Kingdom and the European Union, and its entry into force on 31 January 2020, the agreed transition period is now coming to an end on 31 December 2020.
While the details of a future relationship between the UK and the EU remains unclear at this time, we would like to reassure you that, regardless of the outcome of the negotiations, we have taken all necessary steps to protect the CLS Settlement Service and ensure all our members located in the European Economic Area can continue to participate after the transition period ends.
We encourage you to share this notice with your institution’s Brexit team and other relevant individuals. Should you have any questions or if we can be of any assistance in any way, please contact your Sales representative.
